HISTORIC DETAILS Although it is not certain exactly where or when the first detail of the private policeman was located, here is a listing of documented details of the past. Cincinnati Correctional Institute (Old Work House) * Cincinnati Zoo * Coney Island * Chester Park (an early 1900's amusement park on Spring Grove Avenue where the Cincinnati Water Works now stands) The Island Queen Riverboat * The Delta Queen Steamship * Parkway Arena * Music Hall * Topper Ballroom * Crosley Field (Home of the Cincinnati Redlegs Baseball Club Company) * Riverfront Stadium (Home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengal's) * Cincinnati Gardens * Cincinnati Convention Center * Riverfront Coliseum * Cincinnati General Hospital Prisoner Watch * Numerous Bingo's, Church Festivals, and School Sporting Events Walking Beats in: Walnut Hills, O'Brienville, Hyde Park, The Cincinnati (Bottoms) Produce Houses, Downtown Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Street Railway System's many Incline Stations, Queen City Metro Bus Coaches and others. The Officers of the Cincinnati Private Police were also utilized by the City of Cincinnati during 1967 when the City was under Civil Unrest. Officers rode with the Ohio National Guard during this Civil Disorder. We were utilized to secure Hollywood Movie Productions which visited Cincinnati for filming: "A Rage In Harlem", "Eight Men Out", "City of Hope", "Little Man Tate", and "The Public Eye". The stars of these movies were also given personal protection of the Cincinnati Private Police, "Gregory Hines", "Forrest Whittaker", "Joe Pesci", "Jodi Foster", "Danny Glover", "Robin Givins", and others. During our assignments at the Cincinnati Gardens and Riverfront Coliseum, we also gave personal protection and escorts to Greats such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and more. We were also contracted to handle personal protection to Larry Flint and Woody Harrelson when the movie "The People vs. Larry Flint" debuted in Cincinnati. When the famous jeweler, Harry Winston comes to Cincinnati, we secure over $400 Million Dollars in Jewelry. Today, the Cincinnati Private Police still handles most of the same types of details, however we handle more crowd control events and functions of our ever changing society. With these changing times, law enforcement changes as well. Now there is more need for the Private Police Officer than ever before. |
